Consumers should thoroughly research a potential Contractor before signing a Contract.   A license legally allows a Contractor certain privileges to perform a given service.   A license DOES NOT guarantee the workmanship or validate the business ethics of the licensee.   Besides a North Carolina Electrical Contractor's License, the Qualified Solar Contractor should also provide:

• Certificates of Insurance (General Liability, Workman's Compensation and if required Commercial Vehicle).
• Business and Personal References.
• Project File containing addresses of Installations for visitation and inspection.
• Reference from an Electrical Inspector.
